Harouna Saley Abdoulaye. Danette Wilkins Marte (they/them, elle, elu) is an expansive strategist, intuitive facilitator, and liberatory changemaker with over 20 years of experience providing strategic, technical, programmatic, and operational support to diverse organizations and groups and implementing research, programming, and training across the globe (primarily Central America, North America, South America, and Southern Africa). Prior to consulting, Danette worked with U.S. government agencies (U.S Agency for International Development, U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Peace Corps), consulting firms (Cultural Practice, Tetra Tech), international non-governmental organizations (Johns Hopkins Center for Communication Programs), and academic institutions (Emory University, Johns Hopkins University) addressing a wide range of health and development areas including agriculture and economic growth, democracy and governance, education, environment and natural resources, and health (e.g., animal disease preparedness and response, gender-based violence, mental health and psychosocial support, sexual and reproductive health). They also have demonstrated experience in gender mainstreaming and integration (e.g., men’s and boys’ engagement, women’s and girls’ empowerment), social and behavior change (e.g., entertainment education, gender transformative approaches, provider behavior change), and diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (e.g., gender equality, disability, and social inclusion, gender and sexuality diversity, and LGBTQI+ inclusion). Danette holds a bachelor of arts degree in Hispanic Studies and Government from the College of William and Mary, a graduate diploma in Gender and Development from the Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO) in Ecuador, and a master of public health degree in Behavioral Sciences and Health Education from Emory University. Outside of formal schooling and training, they pursue informal learning through popular education and self-directed learning. As an Afrodiasporic child of immigrants and working-class people, Danette’s approach to facilitation values the wisdom of lived experience and centers humility, curiosity, empathy, authenticity, and respect.

Katy Mamen is a creative and collaborative systems change consultant and facilitator helping leaders, organizations and networks find strategic clarity and build collaborative leadership. Recognized as a highly effective and culturally competent facilitator, systems change capacity builder, and nonprofit & philanthropic strategist with a track record of success working with diverse stakeholders to design aligned strategies for an equitable and regenerative future. Katy is principal and founder of Water Bear Collaborative, a consultancy that supports leaders in the climate change, food and agriculture, and water sectors to envision and implement system-informed strategies in service of social justice and ecological health. Katy is particularly skilled at cultivating the wisdom of the whole, whether that’s an organizational team or leaders spanning a field, creating the conditions for all voices be heard and honored while tending to power dynamics, group culture, and results. Her clients in the philanthropic sector have included Water Foundation, the Energy Foundation, UNFI Foundation, Garfield Foundation, and Lumpkin Family Foundation. Katy is a Fellow of the Academy for Systems Change and previously managed multi-stakeholder policy roundtables and led the California Food System Alliance Network as Director of Programs at Ag Innovations. Before turning to process work, Katy studied emergence in complex systems and the role of traditional knowledge in sustainable agriculture while pursuing her MSc in the UK. She also worked with an international think tank researching the impacts of the international mining sector on indigenous communities and supported traditional agrarian communities in Central and South America, Asia, Europe and North America. Katy currently lives in a rural, consensus-based intentional community in northern California, where she honed her group process skills over the past 20 years.

Ciku Kimeria

Ciku Kimeria is an author, journalist, communication and strategy specialist, adventurer and travel writer. She writes both fiction and non-fiction focusing on African stories that need telling. She is the current Quartz Africa Editor and a  longtime contributor to Quartz, having  authored almost 60 articles for the site, on topics as wide-ranging as the perils of traveling with an African passport to the optimism inspired by Africa’s first non-fungible token (NFT) art collections. She is the author of two mystery novels (Dance of the Monkeys and Of goats and poisoned oranges), and has written for a variety of outlets, including African Arguments, OkayAfrica, and The Africa Report. Ciku has a wealth of communication and project management experience, having worked for and served as a communication advisor to Dalberg Advisors, Open Society Initiative of West Africa, and The Africa Agriculture and Trade Investment Fund. She has traveled to 56 countries, 23 of them in Africa. She has a bachelor of science degree in management from MIT and speaks English, Swahili, and French.

Kajsa Hendrickson

Kajsa Hendrickson is a sustainability leader, facilitator, and bridge builder. She brings ten years of experience working around the world with government, academia, private sector, and nonprofits including FHI360 and the Center for Creative Leadership. Kajsa is trained in conflict management, facilitation and CliftonStrengths. She specializes in designing and leading energy-focused engagements, advising Fortune 500 companies on sustainability and stakeholder engagement. She helps her clients and their stakeholders find common ground and effective solutions. Her facilitation has included engagements for the Tennessee Valley Authority and Southern Company, as well as multinational corporations. Kajsa’s work experience includes designing international education programs to China, Thailand, Switzerland, and Rwanda, managing custom leadership experiences for companies.

Jenifer Gager

A passionate believer in the power of groups, Jenifer Gager helps clients achieve more together than could ever be imagined alone. After more than two decades helping organizational leaders advance nonprofit governance and financial sustainability nationally, Jenifer founded JLG Coaching & Consulting to bring her unique human-centric skills to the field of capacity building in new ways. The firm serves executive and board leaders across a broad range of nonprofit types including fiscally-sponsored entities.  A seasoned program designer, Jenifer has developed peer cohort groups focused on governance, race equity, and social entrepreneurship. She works as Coach, Facilitator/trainer, Organizational Development and Development Consultant based in Nairobi-Kenya with assignments in Africa, North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia. The main focus of her work is Organizational Development, Change Management, Leadership Development, Executive team, leadership Coaching, Training, Process Facilitation and Moderation. She holds two Masters Degrees in Sociology and Organizational Development and is currently working on a Doctorate in Business Administration dissertation on Leadership and change management. Her past and current clients are in the public sector, International Non-Governmental Organizations and the private sector.
