Feven Tsehaye is a facilitator and bridge-builder working at the intersection of community, ecology, and markets. As Founder and CEO of Chakka Origins, she leads a human-centered approach to developing ethical, biodiverse supply chains in Ethiopia—connecting smallholder farmers, especially women, to global wellness and personal care industries. Feven Tsehaye’s work centers on co-creating solutions with rural communities, fostering inclusive models that value indigenous knowledge, conservation, and economic resilience.

With a background in social impact investment, Feven Tsehaye previously served at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, advancing private sector engagement across Africa. She brings a systems-thinking lens and deep field experience—from mapping microfinance impacts in Ethiopia to scaling education finance in Peru. Feven holds an MPA in International Development from Tsinghua University and a BA from American University.
