Steven Hart has been serving international companies since 1986 in a classroom leadership, instructional design, and consulting and coaching practice for individuals and organizations. He specializes in developing leadership in the world marketplace. Steven’s unique style is born of passion and experience. He helps professionals enliven and commit to the quality of the communications with the people they influence, and the communities they serve. Both his curriculum and delivery approach—forming a unique classroom experience—speak from there. Steven has taught leadership and communications for Merck, BHPBilliton, Transocean, Duke Energy, and State Farm; a complete client list is attached. He has taught his own certificate program, Writing for Business, for Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations for more than four years. Since 2009, this program is also part of ExxonMobil’s professional development curriculum delivered worldwide. His other programs include The Leader’s Voice, The Fluent Listener, Project Management Meetings, and Managing Organizational Culture. He is co-designer and facilitator of The Shift Group’s program SET, the Sustainable Entrepreneur Program. As a practitioner of intercultural training and consulting methods, Steven has taught in India, Ukraine, China, South Africa, Chile, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Hong Kong, Spain, Germany, Egypt, K.L., Switzerland, Panama, Singapore, Mexico, Canada, and the U.K. For DuPont Brazil, he served for eighteen months as a faculty consultant to senior management in São Paulo. In August 2005, Steven served on a select team for former Secretary Michael Chertoff in building the performance culture of the Department of Homeland Security. Steven holds a master’s degree in psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in California, and practiced counseling for four years toward New York State licensure. He currently coaches individual clients. His undergraduate work is an interdisciplinary degree in psychology, business, and literature. Earlier, he attended Alberta College in Edmonton, Canada, and San Francisco State College, and earlier still, schooled in Germany and Saudi Arabia. Steven explores fresh business applications from leading theories in learning, language, and the new sciences. He has collaborated with global consulting firms for more than two decades, and has taught both in-house and public programs for diverse groups of six to 300 people. Outside the corporate world, Stevent has co-lead nature-based personal development programs for Animas Valley Institute of his native Colorado. Steven’s early business background includes ten years in commercial broadcast talent management with three top New York agencies. He was director of business affairs for Great Amwell, an award-winning film and television production company. Born in Denver, and raised throughout North America, Europe, and the Middle East, and after many years in New York City and its suburbs, Steven Hart makes his home in Spruce Pine, North Carolina.
