Dr. Kerriann Peart
Known for her exuberance and critical thinking, Dr. Kerriann Peart champions work at the intersections or as she likes to say, “the junction of things.” With her Caribbean identity and culture, Dr. Peart has supported work across sectors both private and public, national, and international, always leaning into the efforts of equity and leveraging the insights of those she engages in her efforts, through a strengths-based approach. With her 20 years of professional experience, inclusive of organizational culture design, human capital, systems strengthening, change management, agile leadership, professional well-being and diversity, equity and inclusion practice; Dr. Peart founded Peart Consulting, LLC, in 2020. In this curated space she provides identity informed coaching, consulting, and speaking services, for start-ups, non-profits and small businesses; with a focus on building the capacity of managers within these spaces. Dr. Peart earned her doctorate in International Psychology with a focus on Organizations and Systems, from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She also holds a Master of Public Health, Global Health Communications focus from The Milken Institute School of Public Health, at George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Emory University.
Mara D’Amico
Mara D’Amico is an experienced facilitation consultant, having worked with a diverse range of partners to achieve their goals by designing and facilitating events where participants connect in thoughtful and engaging ways. She has built meetings and events through a participatory model with nonprofit organizations, government agencies, colleges and universities, community groups, faith-based organizations, corporations, and others. Mara works for the Michigan Women’s Health Initiative at Michigan Medicine within the University of Michigan. Mara leads engagement with physicians, practices, communities, and patients and works to improve women’s health so that it’s responsive to their needs, respects their preferences, and supports them in leading safe, healthy lives. She previously worked as Program Manager on the Strategies for Health Equity team at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists to ensure all women can access the full range of reproductive health care options in the United States. Mara also served as a McLarty Scholar and the Hillary Rodham Clinton Communications Fellow at the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace and Security, and served two terms as an AmeriCorps member in Miami, Florida. She graduated from the Clinton School of Public Service, earning a Master of Public Service degree, and earned a B.S. in International Business and Spanish from Central Michigan University. Mara lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She is a volunteer crisis counsellor with Crisis Text Line, a board member for OAR of Arlington (an anti-racist and restorative justice organization), a board member for Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan, a committee member with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Maternal Infant Health, Health Equity Action Committee and the Optimal Birth Spacing Action Committee, and a member of the Vital Voices Young Leaders Council. She is also a New Leaders Council DC alumna and a graduate of the American University Women in Politics Institute WeLead Program.
Emeobong “Eme” Martin, MPH
Emeobong “Eme” Martin, MPH is the Regional Director for Health Systems with the Alzheimer’s Association. In her role, she is responsible for building strategic partnerships with the top 25 healthcare systems throughout the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. In addition to regional health system engagement, Eme leads the partnership strategy with the Veterans Health Administration for the Association. Focusing on timely and early detection, she assists health systems with customizing practices best suited for their patient populations. She is passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable populations and considers herself a health equity cheerleader, applying a health equity lens to her work through partnership development with diverse organizations and expertise, including as a consultant with UFacilitate. A 2016 recipient of the National Minority Quality Forum’s 40 Under 40 Leader in Health Award, Eme has over a decade of experience working in healthcare organizations, serving in various positions in community health, health equity, and provider education and training at MedStar Health and Adventist HealthCare both located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
